  CampSunrise is a charitable, non-profit organization dedicated to serving children and families impacted by HIV infection and AIDS. It is Ohio 's first and only summer camp program that caters specifically to the needs of children affected by HIV infection and AIDS.  This unique program provides a therapeutic community where campers have the opportunity to experience relief from the overwhelming emotions associated with the disease. Campers are given the opportunity to master new skills and develop new friendships through play, talking, art, drama, games, and traditional camp activities. Camp Sunrise provides holistic programming created to meet the developmental needs of the children in attendance.  A week at Camp Sunrise not only provides the opportunity for campers to enjoy a fun-filled and support-oriented summer camp experience, but it also allows the caregivers of these children time for themselves.  Our program is open to children between the ages of 6 and 17 living in the state of Ohio .  The summer camp welcomes any child who is living with HIV or AIDS, has a sibling or parent with the disease, or is grieving the loss of a loved one to the virus.
